THE STORY

Café Nordo reintroduces Seattleites to the original pop-up restaurant: a five course prix-fixe dinner blending interactive theatrics and fine dining. Nordo’s team creates an intimate temporary restaurant in Seattle’s historic Washington Hall, where for twenty-four evanescent evenings diners will experience Nordo's original culinary rebellion.

The menu struts through the life of a chicken from a poached country egg in a nest of parmesan to a roasted chicken stuffed with handmade chicken sausage and habañero cherries. Nordo's food is always local, elegant and delicious, and his story is this food. The Modern American Chicken tells the tale of Henrietta the Chicken's glorious journey from egg to platter.

Guests will be guided through the evening by Nordo’s devoted (some might say fanatical) staff, featuring Carter Rodriguez, Opal Peachey, Maximillian Davis, Kate Kraay, Devin Bannon, Becky Poole, and Evan Mosher. And, of course, no evening at Café Nordo would be complete without the beautiful original music of Annastasia Workman. This is not an evening to be watched through a cell phone, and the only tweets will be those of baby Henrietta. A real meal to be experienced in real time, Cafe Nordo insists diners enjoy the singularly ephemeral experience of coming to table.
