Nordo is transforming. 14 years ago, we created the “enfante terible of dinner theater”. We knocked you back on your heels, we gave you the unexpected for all your senses. You tried to describe it to your friends, they came and tried to describe it to their friends, “immersive…something something…donuts…something something…” in the end, it was “Café Nordo…you’ve just got to experience it.”

Café Nordo upended the Seattle dining experience and Seattle theater in one fell swoop. And now we’re going to turn all that on its head again.

Imagine: a building in an urban industrial area. As you walk up to the non-descript…doorway? It looks more like a loading dock. You wonder if you’re in the right place until the black onyx pillars on either side of what looks like an employee entrance catch the streetlight. You open the door tentatively to be languidly greeted by a most cat-like human. Inside is…another outside. This one from another time. London, 1822, Shanghai 1964, or Alexandria 200 BC. The cat-person points finger to a door and you open it to find yourself wandering a tangle of libraries, laboratories, and lounges filled with artifacts. Time and place are all a maze. A story unfolds through art and object. Fear not, there are bars historical, speculative, and wholly fictional to whet your whistle along the way.
