An epic seafood adventure
“...another zany multicourse meal where the wine flows, the waiters cavort and educate...”
-The Seattle Times
THE STORY
.
Embark on an odyssey of invertebrates, mollusks, fish and mischief on the Salish Seas. Once again, Café Nordo transforms the south end of Theo Chocolate, this time into an intimate restaurant on an old sailing vessel where folklore and science merge into a five course prix-fixe celebration of the fruits of our seas.
.
Chef Nordo's menu highlights all of the local and sustainable gifts of the waters around Seattle — squid ink custard, geoduck ceviche, shellfish soup served in an aquarium, and salmon that will forever ruin guests for salmon all make a splash on the palate.
.
Original music composed by Annastasia Workman and performances by Colleen Carey, Carter Rodriguez, Ryan Barrett, Maridee Slater, Opal Peachey, and Devin Bannon are the wind and waves in this evocation of a sailor's love for the ocean.
.
As always Chef Nordo's menu is what is is; there will be no substitutions for lily-livered algae-eaters. Nordo ensures that every meal is an opportunity for transcendence, accompanied as it is by a wine flight conceived and procured by Vino Verite. Concerned citizens can leave their Monterey Bay Aquarium wallet cards at home, as local and sustainable seafood is at the very heart of this love letter to the sea.
