With your donation, Café Nordo will open Nordo's Culinarium this fall in Pioneer Square at the corner of Main & Nord Alley, former home to Elliott Bay Book Company. Nordo's Culinariaum will not only host Café Nordo's immersive theatrical experiences but also act as a crossroads between the culinary and performing arts. We'll throw in literary and visual arts and a complete disregard for temperance, creating an unparalleled arts venue in Seattle.

If you are eager to visit the exciting new venue that Nordo's Culinarium is destined to become, please contribute to our fundraising campaign. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to build a beautiful new kitchen facility specifically tailored to Café Nordo's unique service and create a theatrical / dining venue that can be transformed into as many different worlds as we can conjure for you! Please take a gander at the myriad ways we have dreamed up to thank for your tax deductible gift at our online donation site Click & Pledge.

ABOUT NORDO'S CULINARIUM

What is Nordo's Culinarium? Imagine a place where innovation, creativity, food, live performance and art live all year round. Imagine it in a historic, beloved building in a neighborhood at the beginning of a renaissance. Chef Nordo has imagined it.

Nordo's Culinarium at the corner of Main & Nord Alley, former home of The Elliot Bay Book Company in Pioneer Square, not only hosts Café Nordo, but also acts as a crossroads between the culinary and performing arts. Throw in literary and visual arts too, with our characteristic disregard for temperance, and we've given Seattle an unparalleled arts destination.

In a city teeming with genre-benders we are asking local artists and artisans to play in the Cafˇ Nordo sandbox.

Besides housing the beloved Elliot Bay Book Company, the Globe Building (completed in 1891) has housed such storied tenants as an illegal still, (which accidentally blew out all of the second floor windows in a 1924 explosion) and a barbershop that was rumored to be a front for prostitution (Seattle's oldest profession). Cafˇ Nordo has proudly joined these nefarious and prestigious ranks.

RENTALS: The Culinarium is available for special events. Capacity is 60 seated and 90 mingling. Please inquire at Rentals@CafeNordo.com
